The Position

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale multifamily builds, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Development:

    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and developers to create comprehensive project plans.
    • Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company goals.
  2. Budget and Cost Control:

    • Establish and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and controlling costs.
    • Review and approve project estimates, bids, and contracts to ensure financial efficiency.
  3. Schedule Management:

    • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating all phases of construction from pre-construction to completion.
    • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
  4. Team Leadership and Coordination:

    • Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff.
    • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
  5. Quality Assurance and Control:

    • Implement and enforce quality control standards to ensure construction meets design specifications and client expectations.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues that arise.
  6. Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations, building codes, and zoning laws.
    • Promote a culture of safety on the job site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
  7. Stakeholder Communication:

    • Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns.
    • Prepare and present project reports, including status updates, budget summaries, and timeline projections.
  8. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Handle any disputes or issues promptly to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Prefered)
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management with multifamily projects.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale multifamily builds from start to finish.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Buildertrend).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
