Director of Land Acquisition

We are supporting our client, a prestigious home building firm in the Greater Dallas-Forth Worth area.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall planning, execution and delivery of residential land strategy. Additionally the director of Land will collaborate with the company's leadership team to ensure all underwriting planning for land acquisition including entitlement processes, zoning approval, municipal approvals, permitting, platting design, yield and construction necessary are in place to deliver land and lots suitable for vertical construction.

Responsibilities

• Create overall vision and plan for acquiring new land, as well as finished lots.
• Provide annual strategic land plan, defining geographic, product and pricing goals to guide acquisition efforts and support company's strategic plan.
• Analyse market ad sub-markets and the company's current land position in order to identify gaps, areas of opportunity for future land acquisitions.
• Prepare letters of intent and respond to requests to qualifications in a competitive bid situation.
• Lead the process to obtain necessary entitlements and approvals and handle.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in business Management, Finance, Economics, Construction Science, Urban Planning or Real Estate preferred.
• In-depth Real Estate acquisition and negotiation experience, preferably in the home building.
• Strong Management capabilities.
