On behalf of our client, a leading Commercial General Contractor based in New York City, we are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Construction to oversee and drive all construction operations. This client specializes in delivering large-scale, complex commercial projects across various sectors, including office spaces, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Oversight: Lead all aspects of construction operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategies that enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Team Management: Build, mentor, and oversee a high-performing team of project executives, managers, and site staff.
- Client Relations: Act as a senior-level representative for the company, maintaining and growing key client relationships.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Resource Allocation: Oversee project staffing, budgets, and resources to align with organizational goals and maximize efficiency.
- Business Development: Partner with the leadership team to identify and pursue new business opportunities and maintain the company’s competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 15+ years in construction management, with a focus on large-scale commercial projects, and at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP) are an asset.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to inspire, lead, and manage multidisciplinary teams in a high-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of construction management software (e.g., Procore) and scheduling tools.
- Business Acumen: Experience aligning construction operations with broader business objectives.
- Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to foster long-term client and stakeholder relationships.
- Results-Oriented: Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
