Fort Lauderdale’s Condo-Boom continues: and so the demand for Senior Construction talent follows
Fort Lauderdale is experiencing one of its strongest development cycles in years, with dozens of condominium projects moving through planning, financing or early construction phases. The latest addition comes from Texas-based Claremont Property Company, led by Keeley Megarity, which is preparing to launch an eight-unit luxury condominium on Isle of Venice Drive in the prestigious Las Olas neighbourhood, Florida.
The five-story boutique project will feature residences ranging from 3,050 to 3,200 square feet, priced between $3 million and $3.5 million, and will include boat slips, a waterfront pool and high-end finishes throughout. Construction is expected to begin shortly and follow an 18-month timeline.
This development joins a pipeline of more than 3,900 condo units across Broward County, delivered by some of the biggest names in the industry - including Related Group, Tate Capital and OceanLand Investments. From eight-storey boutique projects to 23-storey high-rise towers, Fort Lauderdale is cementing itself as one of South Florida’s most active condominium markets, offering a more relaxed and often more cost-effective alternative to Miami and Palm Beach.
Why this matters for construction recruitment
Luxury condo development requires a very specific type of construction leadership - and the current wave of activity means the competition for this talent is only increasing. Developers delivering high-end or waterfront projects need senior individuals with experience in:
-
Vertical multifamily construction
-
Luxury finishes and branded design standards
-
Coastal construction, marine engineering or flood-resilience
-
High-density scheduling and fast-track delivery methods
-
Managing complex stakeholder and regulatory environments
The challenge for many developers isn’t just finding talent - it’s attracting leaders who already have proven delivery experience in this niche segment.
At We Search People, we specialise exclusively in senior construction recruitment. This gives us access to a network of experienced Superintendents, Project Managers, Construction Directors and Executives who have delivered similar projects across Florida, Georgia and the wider East Coast.
As Fort Lauderdale’s construction boom continues, securing the right leadership early in the development cycle is becoming a decisive competitive advantage. The firms that move quickly to hire strong construction professionals - especially those with luxury, multifamily, or waterfront experience - will be best positioned to deliver on time, maintain quality and control costs in a fast-moving market.
