General Manager – Remodeling Construction

Location: San Antonio

Reports To: Owner

Salary Range: $100K - $130K

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join one of our prestigious clients in the north San Antonio area. This individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day project execution, managing teams, maintaining quality and safety standards, budgeting, client relations, and driving the business towards profitability and growth.  Heavy emphasis on sales and business development in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight:

  • Supervise multiple remodeling projects from initiation to completion.

  • Lead in business development and sales activities and initiatives.

• • Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

  • Review architectural and engineering plans.

• Team Management:

  • Lead project managers, superintendents, and field crews.

  • Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance.

  • Foster a collaborative and productive team culture.

• Client & Vendor Relations:

  • Serve as main point of contact for key clients.

  • Handle high-level customer issues and escalations.

  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.

• Financial Management:

  • Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and job costing.

  • Approve invoices, change orders, and purchase orders.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in construction management, specifically in custom home remodeling.

• Leadership and formal management experience.

• Proven track record of delivering multi-phase remodeling projects on time and within budget.

• Deep understanding of residential/commercial construction processes and materials.

• Familiarity with Buildertrend.

• Knowledge of building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety practices.
